To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that. I, AUGUST LENDLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Forest Hi s, county of Queens, and State of ished'wall paper and'is adaptable also for covering boxes, etc. Haretofore in ordef to obtain the silky-like effect in paper it has been necessary to sprinkle the paper with silk which process is very' laborious and expensive.
The invention consists in using as the essential ground work of the paper a substance commercially known as kapok.
The kapok'is' a fiber found in tropical countries, and is now being used in the manufacture of mattresses, pillows, life belts, etc. If ground in heaters such as are commonly used in paper mills, it can be cut up so as tomake it practical for use in the manufacture of papers. It may be used by itself alone or in connection with other fibers, such as ground wood, sulphite, saw dust, rag,
jute, etc.
The following are suitable examples of the process, but my invention is not limited thereto.
