To all whom it may concern:

Be it knownthat I, Nuns B. LUNDAHL, a citizen of the l'liiited States, residing at Berwyn, in the county of C(iok and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in' Dashboard-Lamp (laps, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in lamp caps, particularly adapted though not necessarily limited in its use for dash board lamps of notor vehicles, and one of the ob jccts of the invention is to provide a cap of this character which will present an artistic and pleasing appearance and which will at the same time direct the rays of light from the larnpupon the object or objects in proximity thereto.

A dash board lamp cap embodying a hollow opaque body portion open at one end for receiving a lamp, the openend of the cap being closed by the insertion of the lamp thereinto, said cap having an unobstructed opening through the wall thereof for the light rays, said body also having translucent portions.

A dash board lamp cap embodying a hood adapted to be placed over a lamp and having an unobstructed opening through the Wall for the light rays, the wall of the hood between the end of said opening and the extremity of the hood being split for frictionally and removahly securing the hood in position, there being one or more additional openings through the wall of the hood, and translucent elements extending across the said additional openings.

A dash board lamp cap embodying a hood adapted to be placed over a lamp and having an unobstructed opening through the Wallfor the light rays, the Wall of the hood between the end of the said opening and the extremity of the hood being split for firm tionally and rcmovably securing the hood in position a stop carried by the cap for positioning the cap with res rcct to the lamp, there being one or more additional openings through the Wall of the hood, and translucent elements fitting within the said additional openings.

A dash board lamp cap embodying a hoodadapted to be placed over a lamp and having an unobstructed opening through the wall for the light rays, a portion of the hood being of a spring like formation for removably securing the hood in position, the inner Wall of the hood adjacent the spring like portion being reduced to form ashoulder for positioning the cap, there being one or more additional openings through the Wall of the hood, and translucent elements fitting Within the said additional openings.
