Referring to the drawings, 5 designates a hub member stamped tromnietal, and including an annular flange 6 and a centrally projecting boss '7 by means of which the device may be readily handled. The upper surface of the hub member 5 is provided with a plurality of radiating channels 9 which extend from the periphery of theboss 7 to the flange 6. This lug is adapted to be received in a recess 25 provided in the bar 26 of the brace, the side portion 27 of the recess being closed so as to limit movement of the brake joint of the brace in one direction and hold the ribs extended.

In addition to this the braces serve as supports to prevent the mosquito netting or cloth sup ported by the frame from sagging or falliI-lg between the ribs.

-When'it is desired to fold the frame, the locking fingers 20 are disengaged from the clamping plate 18 to permit the plate to be removed from the hub member and the boss 7 thereof. From the foregoing it will be readily seen that this invention provides a novel form of mosquito net frame which holds'the mosquito net the desired distancefrom the bed and occupant so that there is no chance of the hands of the 'occupant of the bed becoming entangled in the netting. At'the same time, it holdsthe'net in such a position that it is impossible for insects to enter the dome formed by the frame. All of these features are possessed by a device that is simple in construction.

A device of the character described comprising an annular hub member, a boss projecting from the intermediate portion of said, member, the upper surface of said member being provided with a'plurality of radiating channels, said channels extending from the p'eripheryof the boss to the periphery of the hub member, said hub member having a recess at the outer end of-each channel, and having an annular groove in the periphery of said hub member, a wire disposed in said groove and extending across the recesses at the ends of the channels, a plurality of ribs,=each ofsaid ribs having one end portion thereof arranged to extend into one of the channels and having an eye adapted to receive a portion of the wire disposed in the groove of the hub member, and a ring adapted to extend over the boss and to engage the upper surface of the hub member to retain the adjacent ends of the ribs within the channels, and means carried by the boss for holding said ring-in -engagemen't with the hub member and boss.
