IMPROVEMENT IN COAL-STOVE GRATES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 141,452, dated August 5, 1873; application filed June 7, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL G. MORRISON, of Williamsport, Lycoming county, Pennsylvania, have invented a Goal-Stove Grate, of which the following is a specification:
The object of my invention is to prevent cinder, or other hard substances in the fur nace of a coal-stove, from clogging, wedging, and hindering the free motion of the stovegrate in the act of shaking down the ashes, by the use of an annular flanged ring or 001- lar of metal fitting loosely between the rim of the grate and the walls of the stove-cylinder, suspended by its flange upon the rim or periphery of the grate, as shown in the perspective view, Figure 1, of the accompanying drawing.
