IMPROVEMENT IN WINDOW-SCREENS.
Specification forming part of Letters. Patent No. 140,967, dated July 15, 1873 application filed May 24, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J OHN A. THOMPSON, of Readington, in the county of Hunterdon and in the State of New Jersey, have invented cerits construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective View, and Fig. 2 a longitudinal vertical section, of my adjustable window-screen.
A represents arectan gular three-sided frame, made of wood or other suitable material. The top and bottom bars of this frame are made to slide in boxes or casings B B, attached to the ends of a vertical wooden bar, 0. These boxes or casings may be made of tin, copper, or any other light metal, and are slotted longitudinally on their inner sides, as shown at a a. Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
