Description
M. BAYERDORFFER.
KEY REMINDER.
APPLICATION HLED APR.30, 1921.
1,395,332. Patented Nov. 1, 1921.
UNITED STATES MAX BAYERDORFFER, 0F HUGUEN' OT PARK, NEW YORK.
KEY-REMINDER.
Application filed April 30, 1921.
T 0 all w from it may concern Be it known that I, MAX BAYERDORFFER, a citizen of Germany, residing at Huguenot Park, in the county of Richmond and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Key-Remind ers, of which the following is a specification.
The main object of this invention is the provision of means in combination with a key ring or chain for quickly identifying any particular key on the ring or chain.
The above and other objects will become apparent in the description below, in which like-named characters of reference refer to like-named parts in the drawings.
Referring briefly to the drawings, Figure l is a view of a key ring equipped with col ored rings.
Fig. 2 is a view of a key chain equipped with rings and illustrating the manner of attaching keys thereto.
Referring in detail to the drawings, the numeral 1 represents a key ring of common construction, having secured thereon relatively smaller rings 2, which is red; 3,
green; 4, blue; 5, yellow, and 6, purple. Each of these rings is made of a single continuous plece of resilient material having Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Nov. 1, 1921.

the ends overlapping so that a key may be passed about one end onto the ring.
In Fig. 2, keys 8 are shown attached to the chain 7 through the media of the variously colored rings. Thus, for instance, a house key may be mounted on the green ring 3, so that when the user seeks this key, it is immediately seen byhim when he not-ices the green ring 3. Similarly the various keys may be secured to the variously colored rings, so that each key may be int mediately identified by its colored ring.
Thus it is apparent that I have provided quick-reminding means for carrying keys, which is of extreme simplicity in design and use, and inexpensive in cost of manufeature.
I claim;
A device of the class described comprising, in combination with a key-holder, and a plurality of keys, a plurality of variouslycolored rings mounted on said holder, said keys being secured to said rings, each of said keys being identified by the color of the ring to which it is secured.
In witness whereof I aflix my signature.
MAX BAYERDOR-FFER.
