OIL-COCK WRENCH.
Application filed'February 12, 1921.
To all whom it may concern:
- Canada, having invented certain new and useful Improvements in Oil-Cock Wrenches for Automobiles, do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same.
The object of our improvement is to furnish a simple and more convenient article than has heretofore been used. We attain this object in form as illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which Figure l is a side view of an improved oil cock wrench;
Fig. 2 is a bottom view of the same, and
Fig. 3 is an end View.
Similar letters refer to similar parts in the difierent views. As shown in Fig. 1 our wrench is made from a round piece of steel about i in diameter with the end bent downward at a right angle as at (1., then turned upward as shown by end elevation at E. Fig. 3, then leftstraight for about 3; and then bent sidewise and carried downward parallelwith E. as shown at D., leav-- Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Oct. 4, 1921.
Serial No. 444,573.
ing sufficient space between D. and E. to pass over the oil cock handle B. shown in Fig. 1. As shown in Fig. 3 the parts or lugs D. and E. are placed at an angle of 25 more or less, with thepart 0., so that when the wrench is placed over the handle of the oil cook, the rear part C; will abut against the end of said cock B. The illustrations show the wrench in a horizontal position.
l/Vhat we claim as our invention and wish to secure by Letters Patent is An iron rod placed horizontally with one end thereof bent downward at right angles, then bent forward and upward-to an angle of 25 more or less sidewise, but parallel with the front face of the vertical part turned down, then projected straight for -1- more or less, then bent sidewise and downward parallel with the inclined part thus forming two lugs leaving sufficient space between said lugs for the insertion of the oil cock handle.
Dated at Chatham, Ont., Canada, this 12th day of August, A. D. 1920.
