Be it known that I, JOHN A. CoN'ros, a citizen of the United States, residing at Grand Island, in the county of Hall and State of Nebraska, have invented a new and useful Table for Automobile-Radiators, of

' which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to avork support ing tables, and more particularly to a work support designed to be employed in motor vehicle repair.

The primary object of the invention is to provide a device of this character for supporting the article under operation, the de vice being of an adjustable nature to permit the article supported to be moved to various angles to permit of the repair of the same, with facility.

A further object of the invention is to provide clamping means adapted to be adjusted with relation to the body of the table so that the support may be employed for clamping articles of various designs.

With the foregoing and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed, may be made within the scope of what is claimed, withoutdeparting from the spirit of the invention.

' Referring to the drawing in detail, the reference character 5 designates the base of the work supporting table which includes the spaced arms 6 for supporting the base, the base being also provided with an upwardly extending pin 7 by means of which the upper portion of the work support may be rotated about the base 5.

The standard 8 which connects the tabletop and base 5, is relatively long and provided with an opening extending inwardly from the lower end thereof, which opening is designed to accommodate the pin 7 to permit of rotary movement of the standard Specification of Letters Patent. with relation to the base 5, to accomplish one of the adjustments of the work support.

which has its ends positioned in suitable As shown, the cross arms 11 have connec- 1 tion with the circular member 13 which is provided with a plurality of openings 14, the openings being of sizes to accommodate the sliding boltl5 supported by the arm 16, forming one of the cross arms and which is slightly longer than the remaining arms to support the sliding bolt 15, so that the cross arms may be moved circumferentially of the member 13 to accomplish still another adjustment of the support.

The circular member 13 also rests on the cross arm 17, which is provided with an opening to accommodate the pivot pin 10, to permit the arm 17 to rotate, the semi-circular bar 18 which has its upper ends connected to the arms 17 being provided to secure the upper portion of the support in various positions of adjustment. This semicircular bar 18 is provided with a plurality of notches adapted to receive the rib 19 so that the upper portion of the device may be rocked, and the rib 19 positioned in one of the cutout portions 20 to secure the upper portion of the device at an angle with relation to the standard 8.

Adjustable clamping elements indicated by the reference character 21 operate on the arms 11 and 16, each of which clamping elements includes an upwardly extending arm 22' and a pivoted arm 23, connected in any suitable manner to permit the armsf23 to p 1 swing with relation to the arm 22 associated therewith, so that the clamping elements may be adapted for use with articles of various designs.

In the operation of the device, assuming that a motor vehicle radiator is to be re paired, the radiator is clamped by the clamping members 20, and the member 18 moved to bring the radiator at the proper angle to permit the repair of the same with facility.

The support may now be movedto bring the opposite side of the radiator up, to permit the same to be repaired.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is 1. A work supporting table including a base, said base having a pin extending upwardly therefrom, a standard having an opening formed in one end thereof, to accommodate the pin, cross arms having pivotalconnection with the standard a circular member having openmgs formed therein, means carried by one of the cross arms and adapted to be positioned in one of the openings to secure the cross arms in various p'osltlons of 2Ld111StIIl6I1t, and ad ustab1e clamping members carrled by the cross arms.

2. A work supporting table including a base, said base, having a pin extending upwardly therefrom, a standard having an opening formed in-one end thereof to accommodate the pin, cross arms having pivotal connection with the standard, a circular member having openings formed therein, and adjustable clamping elementssupported on the cross arms.
