Beit known that'we, JosnPH G. HOULEY and CHARLES E. SHAW, citizens of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cookand State of Illinois, have invented new and useful Improvements in Phonograph-Cabinets, of, which the following is a specification. r

This invention relates to filing devices designed for use in connection with talking machine record disks, and its object is to providea novel and improved device of this 7 k nd consistlng of a series of slidable record supporting shelves, and means whereby a shelf containin the desired record may be Fig. 3 is a rear elevatlon partly broken 7 away.

In carrying out the invention, thereis provided a frame or inclosure carrying a series of vertically spaced horizontally slidable shelves 10 on which the talking machine record disks 11 are supported, each shelf carrying one disk.

The strip 15 is secured to the front edges of the walls 12, and it extends downwardly for a short distance, leaving the remaincler of the inclosure, down to the base plate 13, open, so that the shelves 10 may be slid forwardly to project from the front opening thus formedin the inclosure. To the rear edges of the walls 12 are also secured vertical brace strips 16, which do not extend entirely across the back of the inclosure, leaving the same open between the said strips.
