To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ANNE Vonrnnnc, a subject of the Queen of Holland, and resident of Racine, in the county of Itacine and State of Wisconsin, have invented certainnew and useful Improvements in Perpetual Calendars; and I lowing is a full, clear, and exact description thereof. Y
My invention pertains to new and useful calendars, particularly of that type which are changed day by day to display the proper date.
The primary object of the invention is to provide a simply constructed'device of this nature in which the date characters are e'f' parts which will be hereinafter more particu-" larly described and'claimed and shown in the accompanying drawing wherein:
Figure 1 represents a front elevational view of a calendar constructed in accordance with the invention.
Fig. 2 is a horizontal sectional view on the plane of the line 2-2.of Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 1s a fragmentary rear elevational view showing particularly the means for rotatably supporting one of the date character disks.

In the present showing of the invention I have illustrated my improved date display means associated with a frame carrying a mirror. This may be plain or contain suitable legends of an advertising nature, or the mirror may be omitted and the portion of the device occupied thereby provided with advertising matter or the like. Various; other changes may be made in the calendar device and in the manner of assembling the do hereby declare that the folvarious parts thereof withoutdeparting from or sacrificing any of the principles of the invention.
Referring now more particularly to the several figures of I the .drawing, it will be noticed that the -numeral 1 denotes a front or face plate of a; suitablesize and shape having its upper portion provided with an opening 2 through which said mirror 3 is visible, while the reference character 4; designates a backing plate of the same size and shape as the plate 1, both of which plates 'aremounted within a suitable frame 5. In the form of the invention shown in Fig. 4, the portion 11 of the backing plate which has been cut out in forming the opening 9 is replaced and secured to the disk 8 and to a circular rotating plate 12 by a rivet 13. It will be noticed from this figure that the plate 12 is considerably larger than the opening 9 so that when the rivet is in place removalof the disk 8 is prevented.
F rom, the foregoing description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, it will be seen that I have invented a very simply constructed calendar device which, because of the simplicity thereof and in view of the cheapness of the materials from which it may be formed, may be inexpensively manufactured. As a result such a 'device'as this may find a novel advertising display means. other hand if carefully made it will form a very attractive calendar which may be sold at a considerable price.
I claim: 1. In a device of the class described, a
