JOSIAH M. WHITE AND ANDREW J. KEE, OF HANNIBAL, MISSOURI.
IMPROVEMENT IN FOLDING LADDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 137,582, dated April 8, 1873; application filed December 11, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, J. M. WHITE and A. J. KEE, of the city of Hannibal, county of Marion and State of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Ladders; and do hereby declare the following to be a full and accurate description of the same, reference being bad to the annexed drawing making a part thereof.
Our invention relates to that class of ladders that are sectional and folding.
The flat step h is placed upon the side pieces a a by passing the slotted ends of b I; through the mortises i i, till the ends of the step h rests upon the top of 0 c, the whole forming a cheap, durable, and secure step-ladder, as represented in Fig. 1, or, by the removal of step h and unfolding the sections, a rest or carpenters ladder.
