To all whom t mag/,concern- Be itv known that I, JOHN E. BOYLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at l/Vaterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Corner-Stands;

T his invention relates to an improvement in three-cornered stands, and by the term stands, i wish to be understood as including tables of any desired height, the object of the invention being to provide a corner stand with adjustable shelves; and the invention consists in the construction as hereinafter described and particularly recited in the claims.

ln carrying out my invention, l provide three legs 5, 6, and 7 arranged at the points of a triangle, the legs preferably being formed from tubing, the lower ends 8, 9, and 10 being turned inward and preferably flattened to form supporting feet. The upper ends of the legs may be provided with ornamental tips 11. These legs are connected near their bottom by a triangular shelf 19, formed with openingsV through which the legs extend and provided with a downwardly extending flange l?) through which screws 11i Lmay extend into the legs, and preferably, and as shown, this lower shelf will be permanently fixed. At desired points and according to the. height of the device, the legs willbe formed with vertical slots 15 opening at their upper ends into clearance holes 16 through which nuts 17 maybe passed to be engaged by screws 18, whereby a top shelf 19 and an intermediate shelf 2O may be held in place, the number of shelves depending upon'the height of the device and the purpose for which it is to be used. The slots in the legs permit of the adjustment of the shelves so-that they may be spaced apart as desired.

I claim:

A. corner stand comprising three legs provided at their lower ends with supporting feet, said legs each formed with a plurality of vertical slots opening at their upper ends into clearance holes, triangular shelves through which said legs extend, said shelves formed with depending flanges, and screws extending through said flanges and Vthrough said slots, and nuts applied to the inner ends of said screws.
