a citizen of the United States, residing at oil gas burners and has for one of its ob jects the provision of a device of this char-' acter which is especially adapted for application to fire boxes of various stoves and of diii erent types and is provided with means which will cause the flames to'be directed vertically and laterally so that the top and sides of a stove will be heated to a high degree on comparatively small consumption of fuel.
Another object of this invention is the provisionof frames detachably connected to gether which support the generating pipe or retort and burner in substantially V-shape so that an elongated lire box will be heated substantially the entire length and said frames permit of the burners and retort being separated, so that one of them can be used or installed in wall stoves or stoves of the character employed to heat rooms.
A further object of this invention is the provision of means whereby the frames can be adjusted to heights'so that the burners can be installed in fire boxes of different heights.
A further object of this invention is the provision'of an oil gas burner of the above stated character, which shall be simple, durable and eiiicien't, and which may be manufactured and sold at a comparatively low cost. 7
With these and other objects in view as will become more apparent as the description proceeds, the invention consists in such novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be herematter more fully described and claimed.
For a complete understanding of my invention, reference is to be had to the followdescription and accompanying drawings, in wn1ch:

Referring in detail to the drawings the numerals l and 2 indicate as an entirety supporting frames which include horizontal portions having formed upon their ends legs 4t that depend downwardly therefrom and have their free ends disposed at right angles to form supporting feet 5. The horizontal portions of the frames 1 and 2 are indented to form priming'pans 6 disposed directly under burners 7 carried by the ends of retorts 8.v The retorts 8 include horizontal portions having one end bent upon ends of the horizontal portions are disposed angularly thereto to form legs 9 which are secured within bushings 10 carried by the inner ends of the frames 1 and 2. The bushings 10 have connected thereto feed pipes 11 wl'iichare adapted to extend through the walls of a fire box of a stove and connected with controlling valves 12. T he controlling valves 12 are connected to the ends of a T- coupling 13 which has its leg portions connected to a main feed pipe 14. The main feed pipe 1a is adapted to lead to a valve 15 carried by a tank or reservoir 16. The tank or reservoir 16 is provided with a removable cover 17 and has its rear wall 18 fiat so that the same can evenly bear against ported on the wall by means of a book 19 i the wall of a room when the tank is suppassed through an opening in an extension 20 formed upon said tank or reservoir.-
The adjacent leg 4 of the frames 1 and 2 are provided with alining openings to receive the bolt 21 provided with a nut adapted to firmly secure the frames together and in such a manner that the legs 9 and the horizontal portions of the retorts 8 will he of substantially T-shape thereby forming a device of considerable length which is adapted to be positioned lengthwise within the fire box of a stove (not shown) having the feet 5 resting upon the grate usually within the fire box, Therefore, it will be noted that substantially the entire lengthof the fire box will be subjected to the heat from the burners 7. The burners 7 are of substantially T-shaped formation as clearly shown in the drawings having central openings 22 adapted to permit the gaseous fuel to escape vertically thereby producing a vertical flame which will play against the horizontal portions of the retorts and also against the top of the stove. The burners 7 are also provided with oppositely disposed horizontal openings 23 that per it stoveor range lengthwise.

The horizontal portions of the frames and 2 are provided with pairs of bolts 25 equipped with nuts adapted to extend through elongated slots 25 within connecting plates 26 whereby the frames are further secured together and when it is desired to adjust the frames away from each other, the bolt 21 is removed entirely from the legs land the plates 26 are then depended on "to connect the frames together.
