Be it known that I, GRAY H. Morrnrr, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Birmingham, in the county of J efferson and State of Alabama, have invented certain new and useful Improvements 1n Stovepipe-Holders, of which the following is a specification. V

-My invention relates to an improved type of stove pipe holder which is especially adapted for use with dilferent' thicknesses of flue walls.

My invention contemplates the provlsion of an adjustable bracket anchored at its forward end preferably by attachment to the stove pipe collar and having its rear end projecting deeply into the chimney flue and provided with a downwardly and forwardly inclined leg which, due to its length and flexibility, can be bent to fit flue walls within the customary variations in thicle adapt the bracket on its portion which overtion, the dotted line showing the bracket leg hangs within the flue to hold an adjustable clip which serves to stop and interlock with the inner end of the stove pipe.

My invention also comprises the novel details of construction and arrangements of parts, which in their preferred embodiment only, are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view through the flue walls showing apparatus in side elevation.

I have illustrated my invention in corn nection with a chimney fine 1 having a front wall 2 provided with the customary hole for the reception of the inner end of the stove pipe 3. A collar 4 surrounds the pipe and conceals the pipe hole in the customary manner.

Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. A stove pipe andcollar holder, comprising a bracket having a top member which projects through the stove pipe flue hole and overhangs deeply into the flue and is there joined by a down-turned forwardly inclined member adapted to be bent relatively to the bracket top to adjust it to varying thicknesses of "flue walls, in combination with means to aflix the forward end of the top bracket member to a stove pipe collar, and means to mount an adjustable pipe stop and fastening clip on the overhung inside, portion of the bracket.

2. stove pipe holder comprising, in combination, a bracket formed of'a bent metal bar having a horizontal top leg and a downa collar therefore, and a flue having a hole for the stove pipe, of a bracket formed of a bent metal bar having its upper leg inserted through the flue hole, means to attach the outer end ofsaid bracket leg to the collar,

the inner end of said bracket leg'projecting a substantial distance beyondthe surface of flue wall-and having perforations in its overhung portion a clip adjustably mounted on the bracket by anchoring means passing through said perforations, means to interlock the inner end of the stove pipe with said clip to hold the pipe against axial movement, and a long, forwardly and downwardly inclined leg of the'bracket adapted to be bent to yieldingly engage the inner surface of flue walls of varying thickness, substantially as described. v
