It will now be apparent that the base of the uhimney resting upon the flange k renders unnecessary any peripheral springs aronnd the aindistributer to come in oontaot with the interior of the chirnney and interoept the draft, thus more easilyaccomxnodating differentsizes of chimney, and that ab the same time the interior of the bu1"ner blow the aindistribnter is open and will remain cooler than in those cases where the air-distributer is near the lower end -of the eone.
