To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ALBERT F. BRANDEN- BURG, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented-a new and useful Pen-Brush, of which the following is a specification.

This inventionrelates to new and useful improvements in fountain pens, and more particularly to pens used by sign painters for painting signs or otherarticles wherein it is necessary to make relatively large broad lines. w v

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a pen having means to permit the operator to control the feed of the fluid from the pen, while the pen is in oper-. ation.

A still further object of the invention is to provide means for connecting a pen and its point, to permit of an automatic adjustment of the point with relation to its holder.

With the foregoing and other objects in view which will appear asthe description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in tional view of a pen constructed in accord-,

ance with my invention.

Referring now to the drawingsin detail, reference character 5 indicates the holder of the pen, which includes a substantially tubu lar member formed of any suitable material, but preferably steel or brass.

One end of said member 5 is reduced as at 6, and is provided with annular shoulders 7 to engage the neck 8 of the flexible rubber placement of the connection.

In combination with a hollow pen handle, and a feeder, a flexible tubular member having connection with endsof the handle and feeder member, a spongesupported within the flexible tubular member and having its surfaces contacting with the inner walls of the flexible tubular member, whereby pressure on the flexible tubular member causes material'contained in-thesponge to be forced into the feeder.
