Improvements in Cleaning and Polishing Apparatus; and I do hereby declare that the following is: a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being hadtothe accompanying drawings, and to the numeralsof reference marked thereon, which form a partof this specification. t I y .This invention relates to a cleaning, pollshing and ,similar. apparatus, and

In the operation of linotype machines it is found that the matrices become dirty, and stickyso that they .do not slide into place readily and in some cases do not fit the frames properly. e One of the obsects, therefore, of-this in vention is to provide machinev for cle an ingtype matrices.
Another object of the inventionis to provide means, H letters on the matrices during the cleaning operation.
A further object the inventiongis to providea machine for not only cleaning type matrices, but also for performing many a other operations connected with linotype,
typesetting and printing establishments,
