Formed upon the inner sides of the resiliv ent elements 14 are a plurality of sharp, up-
wardly turned spurs 15, adapted to engage in the cork which is to be extracted, and in order to guide the resilient arms 14, with respect to the opening in the bottle, other sprlng arms 18 are secured by rivets or like fastenings 19, to the handle through the arms 12, the spring arms 18 having flat elliptical ends 20, curved so as to slide freely over the neck of particularly in Fig. 1.
