This invention relates to new and useful improvements in exhibitors and the principal object of the invention is to provide a device which is adapted to successively exhibit advertising cards and the like.

Another object of the invention is to provide a device in which it is possible to easily and quickly change the advertising cards or combinations thereof in order to effectively exhibit the same.

A still further object of the invention is to provide an exhibitor having suitable demountable screens which may be removed and replaced in order that the same be interchanged to suit various combinations of advertising matter.

ith these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel combination and arrangement of parts which will be fully set forth in the following specification and accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a face view of an exhibitor constructed in accordance with this invention.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates as an entirety the screen comprising a body 2 having formed at opposite ends suitable legs 3 which extend downwardly from the body as clearly shown in Fig. 1 and form supports for the same. A longitudinally extending sight opening 4 is formed in the body intermediate its upper and lower terminals and it is adapted to permit the advertisements carried on the rotary drum which will be more fully hereinafter described to be easily read.

The rotary drum is designated generally by the numeral 5 and consists of a pair of hubs 6 formed centrally of suitable disks 7 which are connected by a cylindrical body '8 having the radially extending projections 9 formed on its periphery which are formed at their upper edges with longitudinal extending flanges 10. -These flanges form retaining flanges for the cards to be exhibited as clearly illustrated in Fig. 2.

Secured to suitable seats 11 are the standards 12, the upper ends of which are pro vided with suitable openings 13 in which the shaft- 14 is journaled. This shaft extends through the hub 6 and forms the support for the drum as clearly illustrated in the drawings. A suitable clock work mechanism designated generally by the numeral 15 is provided and supported on one of the standards near its upper end and is provided with a drive gear for meshing with the pinion 16 by means of which theshaft 14 is rotated.

p In order to provide a support for the screen a suitable base plate 17 is provided and has secured near opposite ends and intermediate the side edges the lower ends of the legs 3 as clearly illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2. v

It will be apparent from the foregoing that in use the spring motor or clock work 15 is wound and the device assembled in the manner illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2 whereupon suitable advertising cards are slipped beneath the flanges 10 and between the projections 9 so that when the drum is rotated, the cards will be readily seen through the openings 4. Upon releasing of the clock work it will be evident that the same will rotate the drum and due to the gear train, it will be evident that the speed of rotation of the drum will be relatively slow thereby permitting the advertisements appearing on the cards to be read through the sight opening 4.

lVhile in the foregoing there has been shown and described the preferred embodiment of this invention, it is to be understood that such changes may be made in the combination and arrangement of parts as will fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claim.

"What is claimed is An exhibitor comprising a rotary drum having radially extending projections provided with longitudinally extending flanges to form retaining means for cards placed longitudinally of the drum, said drum having closed end portions with shaft bearings formed concentrically thereof, in combination with a supporting shaft mounted in said bearings of the drum supporting means for said shaft, drum rotating means engaged With said shaft to rotate the latter and said drum, and a screen positioned in front of said drum provided With aside opening to disclose only the central portion of one of the cards positioned around said 10' drum as the latter is rotated to bring the card in position before the said opening.
