To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, Anonrn F. JOHNSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hancock, in the county of l-loughton and Stute of Michigan, have invented 116W and useful Improvements in Easels, of which the tollovving is s specification.
This invention relates to improvements in heels and has for an object the provision of on ousel, 'v-rhich may be secured to a picture me or picture mount to support the same upon it teble or stand.
Another object of the invention is the provision or on of cheap and simple construction, which may be easily secured to either it picture frame or picture mount ifor the purpose above specified.
Other objects and advsntsges of the invention will appear as the following detion is re n connection with the scosnying draw ings.

The attaching member 11 and the arm 14 are connected through the medium of an L-Shn-ped pivot rod 17, the long arm 18 of which is slit within the sleeve 15 and the short arm 19 Within the sleeve 12. This provides for s free pivotal movement 01" the attaching member 11 upon the arm 19 end it similar movement of the 14E upon the arm 18, which permits of the proper edjustnient of the said arm with respect to the picture frame.
In Fig. 8 there is illustrated s form of the invention Which is used for su pporting an unframed picture or ihotogrziph. This in cludes u. metal strip 20, which is adapted to be inserted between the folds of the uttsching member 11 and secured to the mount of 2; photograph for the purpose of holding the easel thereto.
The invention is susceptible of various changes in its form, proportions and minor details of construction and the right is herein reserved to moire such clr s properly fell Within the scope of the appended claims.
Having cescribed the invention, What is claimed is:
1. An easel comprising s supporting leg,
a sleeve located along one edge thereof, on attaching member, a sleeve also located 1 egg one edge of the attaching member and on L-shuped rod having one arm positioned Within the sleeve of the leg and the other positioned Within the sleeve of the attaching member to provide for a pivotal n'iovement of both the leg and attaching member upon the rod.
12" The combination with frame, of a supporting leg therefor, and means for securing the leg to the ireme in a manner to permit of vertical and horizontal pivotal movement.
