Be it known that I, THOMAS C. Moore, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city and county of San Francisco and State. and useful Improvements in Door-Securers, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a door lock and particularly to an inside detachable form of To lock which may be applied or removed wheneveg" desired.

Referring to the drawings in detail, A indicates a main locking plate upon which is plateia Formed on one end of the main locking projeetion,-suc h as shown at 2. which is so shaped that it 'maybe inserted in an'ecess 3 formed in the striking plate 1 with which practically all door locks are equipped. Formed on the opposite end of the main locking plate and on each side thereof is a plurality of alined teeth 5, and adapted to interlock with said teeth to secure the sliding plate against movement when the lock is in use, is a pair of downwardly ex tending lug-like projections 6. Formed on the forward end of the-sliding plate is a pair of upwardly,extending lugs 8 which are perforated, as at 9, for the reception'of a locking lever, such shown in Fig. 3. Thislever consists of a handle sec tion 10, a head member 11 and a pair of pintle -members 1.2 which are formed intogral with the headmcmber. The pintles 12 formed on the lever are adapted to be supported by the perforated lugs formed on the sliding plate and it is therefore possible to movement to the lockinglever as will hereinafter be described.-

This recess is formed by cutting out the metal between the lugs and thereby forms a space in which the head member of the lever may freely swing when the lock is to be ap plied; This is accomplished in the following manner:
The sliding plate. the stop plate 13 and the locking lever carried by the sliding plate are first moved rearwardly on the main locking plate. This is then applied to the door in such a manner that the offset section 2 will enter the recess 3 formed on the striking plate of the door. The doorpro wr is then closed and the latch 18 contained top of the offset portion, thus temporarily permitted to snap into place on securing it in place. The locking lever is nowswung to the dotted line position shown at 19 (see Fig. 6) and the sliding plate, to-

Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Pat- 'ent is:
1. A detachable door locking device including a main locking p'latehaving an annlar bend-at o'neendadapted to engage the lock mortise between the door edge andthe casing and having notches or serrations on opposite edges of the opposite end, a plate having downturned guiding clasps slidable on thelocliing plate, and with downturned lugs to engagethe notches of the main plate, a plate between the two having'a limited sliding movement, an upturned end adapted to abut against 'the door when'closed upon the locking plate, and a lever fulcrumed between lugs on the main slidable plate, said lever being mounted to swing in a plane plate so that its outer end will-abut against the uptlirned end of the intermediate plate to retain said plate in contact with-the door.
2. A detachable door locking device including a main locking plate having an angular bend at one end, adapted to engage the lock mortise between the door edge and the casing and having notches or serrations on opposite edges at the opposite end,.a-
