IMPRQVEMENT lNTolLE'r-BRACKETS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 133,640, dated December 3, 1872.
To allvwhom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JAMES S. FLETCHER, of South Bend, in the county of St. Joseph and in the State of Indianamhave invented certain new and useful Improvements in rEoilet-Brackets; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompaand use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in Which- Figure l is a perspective vie-wot' my toiletbracket, and Fig. 2 represents the molding above the glass.
The back of my vtoilet-bracket is made in two equal parts, A A, which, when placed together, form a space, B, for the looking-glass. These two parts are connected by means ot' a rosette, C, at the top, moldings D and E at the top and bottom of the space B, respectively, and by the box Gr belowthe molding E. vThe box Gr consists of a top and a bottom, connected by end pieces, and doors H H forming the front. These doors are hinged at the corners and meet in the center, as shown. lhe molding D vover the top of the glass is intended to be made in the 'form shown in Fig. P that is, not half circle, but of the shape usual for looking-glasses. 1t is made by shaping it one side with the shaper and then reversing it for the other side. The usual way ot' forming said moldings has been with a lathe, inV
the form of rings, and then cut in'two halves.
The moldings D and E are connected by other moldings J J on the sides.
Having thus fully described my inventon, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is y The within-described toilet-bracket, consisting of two halves, A A, forming the back, the
rosette G, moldings D E and J J, and box G with doors H H, all constructed and arranged substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
