' APPLICATION FILED SEPT- 4,1919- 1,335,250. Patented Mar. 30, 1920;
' Edward J v' s verfi INVENTOR ATTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDWARD LIPPERT, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
TOOTH BRUSH AND PASTE HOLDER.
Application filed September 4, 1919.
This invention has relation to household articles, with particular reference to a device for supporting a tooth brush and a device for supporting a collapsible container of tooth paste or the like.
In addition to the foregoing, this invention comprehendsimprovements in the details of construction and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter described and.par-' ticularly set forth in the appended claim.
In the accompanying drawings in whlch similar and corresponding parts are designated' by the same characters of reference throughout the several views in which they appear Figure 1 is a view in perspective of my invention and I Fig. 2 is a transverse section taken therethrough.
Fig. 3 is a fragmentary view in front elevation of a modified form of my invention, and
Fig. 4: is a view in horizontal section taken to the form shown in the immediate preceding figure.
\Vith reference to the drawings, 10 indicates generally the base which is in the form of a strand of wire bent to form substantially parallel portions 11 and 12 connected at the end, at which points loops 13 are formed to permit fasteners or the like to be inserted therethrough for securing the device to a wall. One terminal of the strand is bent laterally as at 14 and formed into a loop 15 through which the handle of a tooth brush may be inserted, the extremity of said terminal contacting with the opposite ex tremity of the strand of wire, the extremities being soldered or otherwise secured together if desired. Connecting the parallel. portions 11 and 12 adjacent the upper end of the device is a pair of wires 16 in spaced relation which are formed by taking a single strand of wire and twisting the intermediate portion about the member 11 of the device,
Specification of Letters Patent.

Serial No. 321,636.
about the member 12 of the base portion. A
While I have illustrated and described my invention with some degree of particularity, I realizethat in practice various alterations therein may be made. I therefore reserve the right and privilege of changing the form of the details of construction or otherwise altering the arrangement of the correlated parts without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claim.
I have illustrated in Figs. 3 and t a modified form of my invention in which the tube of paste is held by means of a device consisting of a strip of metal 17 having its ends bent around the members 11 and 12 of the base and a slot 18 formed therein. The lower portion of the strip is offset thus permitting the end of the tube to be readily inserted in the slot 18 in the manner described above.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent is:
A device of the character described comprising asubstantially rectangular frame of wire having both end portions twisted to form a loop, and one side member twisted to form a third loop to receive a tooth brush, and means connecting the side members to form a support for a tube of tooth paste.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature in presence of a witness.
EDWARD LIPPERT. [L. s.]
