It will be evident that minor changes can be made in the disposition and construction of the parts to bring about the same result without departing from, the scope of the invention.

lVe claim:

1. A doll head comprising a sheet metal front section, a sheet metal back section, these sections being permanently secured together at a vertical joint, the back section having an inclined opening and having an inturned flange at the edge of the opening, and a cap with a face to be placed opposite the flange and having means for engaging the edge of the flange for securing the cap in position.

2. A doll head comprising a main portion, a cap fitting on the main portion and adapted to close it, and a wig secured in place on the main portion by thecap when the cap is in position on the main portion.

3. A doll head comprising a main portion having an opening therein, a cap adapted to be fitted in the opening, the cap and the. main portion having co-acting means for securing the cap in position, and a wig, a 100 portion of which is adapted to be caught bep tween the main portion and the cap when the cap is in position, so that thewig is held in place. v

4. A doll head comprising a main portion 105 having an'opening' therein, a cap, the main portion and the cap having coacting means whereby the cap is detachably secured in position to close the opening and having opposed flanges, and a wig having a projecthind the ears of the head, said joint eing adapted to be permanent and providing a substantially flat outside surface, the rear section having an opening therein, and a sheet metal cap to close the opening and having means to engage the edge of the opening to secure the cap in place.
