To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, MILTON O. BILLOW, a citizen of the United States, residing at Harrisburg, in the county of Dauphin and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Class Record-Book, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to note-books and has particular reference to a hand-book for recording class-room ratings.

The principal object of the invention is to provide a note-book that is provided with supplemental leaves for containing written matter such as a list of pupils names; the supplemental leaves being disposed so that the names will always be in alinement with the pupils record which is kept on the main leaves of the book.

It is another object of the invention to provide a record-book having a permanent record sheet for a number of the ordinary leaves which is adapted to contain a list of the pupils names; this will obviate the necessity of re-writing the pupils name upon each of the leaves.

An additional object of my invention is to provide a class-room recording book which consists of few parts, is simple in construction and use, and may be manufactured and placed on the market at a minimum cost.

Other objects and advantages will become apparent from the following disclosure and the inventive features will be explicitly defined in the appended claims.

The invention consists of constructions, formations, and general assemblage of parts that will be hereinafter specifically referred to and illustrated in the accompanying drawing wherein Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved record book;

Fig. 2 is a fragmentary view of the book showing the supplemental page in use;

Fig. 3 is a like view showing the sections of the supplemental page folded together for reference to the record contained in the first column of the page.

Referring to the drawing wherein the preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated, the numeral 5 designates the conventional leaves of a'note or record book which are bound together in any conventlonal manner and are ruled 1n the usual manner.

My improvement consists of a sheet 6 which is considerably wider than the sheets 5 whereby one end of the sheet is extended beyond one common free edge of the leaves. The sheet 6 is folded adjacent the extended longitudinal edges as at 7 to provide a supplemental page 8. This page 8 folds inwardly and is adapted to contain the names of the pupils.

The supplemental sheet 8 is folded adjacent its free longitudinal edge as indicated at l0'to afford sections 11 and 12. The latter section is adapted to be folded inwardly upon the section 11 when the record contained in the column at the extreme left of the pages is being referred to.

The sheets 6 are arranged at spaced intervals in the books and are preferably arranged at every twelfth page. As the supplemental leaves are ruled identical to the leaves 5, the names on the permanent record leaf or supplemental leaves will register with the ratings or the classstanding of the pupils.

In using my improved class room recording book the section 12 is folded upon the section 11 thereby bringing the pupils name into registration with his individual record contained in the first column. In referring to any of the remaining columns the supplemental leaf is folded inwardly upon the leaves 5.

The embodiment of the invention herein set forth and illustrated is considered the preferred embodiment of the same, but I wish to here state that the idea may be incorporated in construction other than the one specified and that ll may make such changes and alterations that may be within the scope of the appended claims.

What is claimed is 1. The combination with a book including a number of leaflets, of a plurality of sheets the same size as said leaflets and arranged at spaced intervals in the book, each of said sheets having one of their ends extended be yond one common free edge of said leaflets and said extension being folded longitudinally to form a pair of sections outwardly foldable to overlap one or more of said leaflets.

2. The combination with a book including a plurality of leaflets of the same size and having a record thereon, of a plurality of sheets the same size as the leaflets having records thereon'and arranged at spaced intervals in said book, each of said sheets having one of their ends extended beyond one common free edge of said leaflets and having a record thereon, and said extension becontained on said sections Will coincide with 10 the record on the leaflets.
