To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, JOHN H. PEGG, a citizen of the United States, residing at \Vabash, in the county of lVabash and State oflndiana. have invented a new and use t'ul Vault, of which the following is a specitication.

The object of my invention is to provide an improved reinforced concrete vault having an improved double reinforced concrete base so arranged as to prevent water from entering the vault, and to render same air tight.

ber encircling the joints of the base of the vault and an air chamber under the base of the vault, with a construction that is comparatively simple and which may be built at relatively small expense.

I further provide suitable bars or grip members ll at either end of the outer walls of the vault spaced a suitable distance from the upper edge of the vault and providing a means for fastening a rope about the vault for moving same.

lVhat I claim is:

l. A plastic reinforced vault comprising a reinforced base, a reinforced vault body mounted on the base, the body member having an offset portion, the base of the vault having a downwardly extending wall, a horizontally extending wall extended from the latter wall, said walls cooperating with the ofiset part of the vault body and its base to form an encircling air space, whereby to insure a damp-proof and air-proof vault.

2. A plastic reinforced vault comprising a metal and wire reinforced body having an encircling cut away portion near the bottom of its upstanding walls, a "similarly reinforced base projecting to engage said cut away portion, the base of the vault having a downwardly extending wall, a horizontally extending wall extended from the latter Wall, said walls cooperating with the. offset part of the vault body and its base to form an encircling air space, whereby to insure a damp-proof and air-proof vault.

3. A plastic vault having metal rods and wire netting reinforcing same and comprising a vault body'having an encircling cutaway portion near the bottom of its upstanding walls, a base on which the body of the vault rests at the cut-away portion, a substantially L-shaped base extension extending outwardly beneath and encircling the base of the vault and having the 'outer' edge of said extension supporting the vault body, said extension also forming an encircling air chamber extending around the bottom outer portion of the vault beneath the base, substantially as shown.
