Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 132,411, dated October 22,1872.
-of Michigan, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Tub-Washer Frames, ofwhich the following is a specication:
The invention consists in the tub-Washer frames, as hereinafter described and specifically claimed.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure lis a vertical section of the machine attached to the tub, the latter being shown in dotted lines; and Fig. 2 is a top or plan view of the saine.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A represents the machine-cylinder. B is the concave. top of the tub. To allow the frame C to rest upon the top of the tub, as seen, the tub is grooved to admit the crank-shaft. D represents pins in the bottom of the frame C. These pins may be four inches, more or less, in length, and are so arranged that they bear against the outside of the tub, as represented in Fig. 2, to hold it in place. These pins, ora part of C is the frame which rests upon the them, may be made adjustable by means of extra holes in the frame so as to t tubs of different sizes. lhe side and end pieces of the frame are turned, as seen at E. These round or turned portions E allow the water to drain oft' from the frame, and give the frame a finishednand workmanlike appearance. By means of the pins D, arranged to inclose the tub, as represented in the drawing, the machine is kept steady and in its proper position when in operation.
The machine itself is well known and requires no particular description, as its operating parts I do not claim as my present invention.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure byLetters Patent- The frame C in combination with the cylinderA and concave B, constructed as described, for the purposes set forth.
