' The object of -my invention is lto provide aburner for this kinder1 use which shall be simple in construction, durable, and easily `kept in repair, and which will secure satisfactory heating results.

when the device is to be inserted withinr a iire pot of a stove, is made to it the same.
It is provided with a hole for each burner employed, through which air may pass freely to the burner. Such holes 10 are surrounded by upwardly extending flanges 11. Such flange 11 has two slots 12 placed diametrically opposite, in which is placed a pipe 2 which has a single discharge opening located at the point 20, the said opening constituting the nozzle for the discharge of the gas which is generated from the oil supply.
One end of this pipe is closed, as by a cap 22. The other end is connected with a vertical section 21 which in turn connects with a coiled section 23, this latter being preferably in the form of a conical helix and constituting the regenerating or .gasifying element. This latter coil section 23 is supplied through pipe 24 which in turn is connected with a pipe leading from any suitable source of supply whereby oil is delivered under sutlicient pressure to cause it to flow to Aand through these pipes. l

In starting the device oil may be discharged through the nozzle 20. This, if discharged with any orce, will strike the plate 5, be caught by the conical tubes 3 and 11 and will, dripping downwardly, be caught by the cup 6. Here it will burn and heat theV passes upward through the annular' passage between the conical shells B and il is supplied and assists materially in the combustion. All parts of this device are capable of being removed if desired and necessary. They are also of such construction that they are cheap to manufacture and thus may be cheaply replaced if burned out or otherwise injured.
llhat I claim as my invention is:
l. In an oil burner, in combination, a base having a draft opening therein 'surrounded by an upwardly extending iiange, said flange having two oppositely positioned pipe-receiving notches, a pipe fitting vin said notches and having a discharge orifice in its upper side placed centrally of said opening and constituting a nozzle, a conical helix of pipe placed above said parts and connected with the nozzle pipe, and a deiiecting plate supported from and spaced above the lcoiled parts of said pipe.
2. ln an oil burner, in combination, a generator comprising a conically coiled pipe having an extension extending crosswise of and beneath said coil and provided with a discharge orice forming a nozzle kdischarging centrally into said coil, a pair of nested and spaced apart conical shells supported within said pipe coils with their sinall end toward and alined with said nozzle, and a deflecting cap covering the larger end of said shells Vand spaced away therefrom to provide ilaine discharge openings about its periphery, and with said sh'ells forming a combustion chamber having double sideV walls with air passages between.y
3. In an o1l burner, 1n combination, a
generator comprising a conically coiled pipe having an extensionextending' crosswise of and beneath said coils and provided with a discharge orifice forming a nozzle discharging centrally into said coils, a pair of nested and spaced apart conical shells supported within said pipe coils with their snra'll end toward .and alined with said nozzle, a priming cup placed between the nozzle and said conical shells to catch the oil drip frorn the shells and having a central opening through which the nozzle rnay discharge.
