Specification of Letters Patent.

7 To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that LEMILE JEAN JULES SALMSON, citizen of the Republic of France,
residing at 9 Avenue 'des Moulineaux, Bilv lancourt, Seine, in the Republic of France,
have invented new and useful Improvements in Aeroplane Bodles or Cells, of
, which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to an improved body or cell for aeroplanes having at least two decks the essential feature of said body or cell lying in the fact that the decks are connected one to each other by crossed posts which are secured together at their crossing points.
In the annexed drawing which illustrates diagrammatically a double deck aeroplane that the aeroplane body or cell in the exrear beams (P, d of which are respectively ample illustrated is formed of two wings or decks a and b the front beams 0 c and the braced together by means of crossed posts I such as c and 7. These posts are secured together at their middle or crossing points 9.
One of the advantages of this arrangement lies in the fact that the part of the post Copies of this patent may be obtained for which is submitted to the flexure or bending produced by the axial compression is smaller than the distance between the two decks. Having now described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
In an aeroplane comprising a plurality of decks having front and rear beams all of which are substantially parallel to each other, the combination of crossed posts extending from each front beam to a front beam of the next deck above or below and secured to each other at their crossing points, and similar crossed posts extending from each rear beam to a rear beam of the next deck above or below and secured to each other at their crossing points.
