These are connected by the end .members' 13 and held in their relative position by themet'allic top plate 14: which is provided at the corners with depending brackets .15 of angular formation to embrace the side and front and end plates and hold them in thei proper fixed relation. Upon the base 10 a block 1'6 is disposed to which the front and end members are secured by any desired means such as the nails 17 which leaves the back member removable for the purpose of securing access to the interior of the casing in order to replace the medicinal substance 18 therein.

The medicine chamber33 in the the casing is provided with a wire cloth cov ering 3 k to retain the eucathol which is in a solid body or lump within the'casing and this cloth covering may if desiredbe extended downward, as at '35, tocover or protect an air inlet opening 36 in the back 11 of the casing. This inlet opening maybe closed in any desired manner,

The invention presents a simple, eflicient and economically constructed inspirato-r particularly adapted for use with a solid medicant such as eucathol, and which maybe readily used and safely transported whenever desired. IVhat I claim is: v
1. An inspiratorcomprising a casing havingan inhaling outlet, and a medicine cham ber therein, ,a valve within the casing for closing said outlet, and a handle connected to the valve for pulling the valve to close said outlet and for carrying the casing.
2. In an inspirator, a casing, a top plate provided with an inhaling outlet, a medicine chamber provided within the body of the casing, a slidably mounted valve block adapted to close said inhaling opening, a handle carried by the'casing and. connected to operate said block, and a removable back plate provided with an air inlet aperture.

In an inspirator, a base, a block secured thereto, front and side walls secured at the bottom of said block, a loosely mounted back wall, a cover plate-having angular corner brackets embracing the respective walls, a block carried by said cover p-lateand provided with :an inhaling passage, .a handle having depending rods s idablymounted in said cover, a valve block through whichsaid rods extend, angular portions at the lower endsof said rods'secured to the end face of said valve block, having a depending portion slidably mounted within a slot within said casing.
