Be it known that I, FRANK ROBINSON, a
ment of the plug from the United States, and a resident Chicago, in the county of citizen of of the city Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Spark-Plugs; and I do hereby the following is a full, clear, and exact description of-the same reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the numerals of reference form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to an improved type ranged and constructed that the plug 18 practically self cleaning, and furthermore permits a ready removal of the parts liable to become fouled or damaged without necessitating complete detachment of the entire plug from the engine cylinder in which it is connected. I
It is an object of this invention to construct a spark plug for internal combustion engines 'constructed to keep its terminals clean from fouling-materials.
It is also an object of this invention to construct a spark plug consisting of a tubular insulating core having a combustion chamber therein .into which projects a feed wire on which a ba e 'plate is mounted to prevent the terminal of said feed wire from becoming fouled.
It is a further object of this invention. to construct a spark plug consisting of an apertured sleeve for receiving a chambered'insulating core removably held in place by means threaded into said sleeve, said sleeve provided with a conductor projecting e plate near the terminal end thereof to prevent fouling materials from entering said chamber thus. keeping the terminal clean.
It is furthermore an important object of this invention to provide a spark plug comprising a chambered tubular insulating core having a priming tube therein for connecting a priming cup and a feed wire with said chamber, said core being removablv mounted in a sleeve having a second feed wire projecting upwardly therein into said chamber to a point opposite the terminal end of said priming tube and having means mounted near the terminal end thereof to pre'vent terminals.

I claim as my invention:

a sleeve. member adapted to be threaded into the wall of the combustion chamber of an engine, an insulating core removably mounted therein, said insulating core having a combustion chamber therein larger than the passage in the sleeve, a spark terminal projecting into said enlarged chamber, a second spark terminal in said sleeve projecting upwardly into said enlarged chamber to a point below said first mentioned terminal, and
