Be it known that I, JOHN A. RUDISILL, a.
' proved toy of this character which can be cheaply manufactured and can be made of either -wood or metal and of any suitable size, which is attractive in appearance and which can be readily guided and Uniti-oiled. wWith the above and other objects in view, the invention consists in the construction, combination and arrangement of devices hereinafter described and claimed.

The coasting Wheel 1 maybe of any suitable size and may be made of wood or of metal as may be preferred. The wheel comprises a felly 2, a tire 3, a hub d and spokes 5. An axle 6 extends through the bore of the hub and is provided at the ends with caps 7. A yoke 8 which of inverted U-shape is arranged astride of the telly and has its arms S attached near their lower ends to the caps, asat 10. Veights 1l which are attached to the lower ends of the yoke arms keep the yokevin Vertical position and on the upper side of the coasting wheel when the latter is loeingr driven orrolled. A Hag or other ornament or device isattached and carried by the upper end 0f the yoke.
I also provide radially .arranged rods l-l which connect the hub and felly and provide vanos l5 which are mounted for rotation on said rod and are held between stops 1G with which the rods are provided. These vanes rotate when the coasting wheel is being driven or rolled and add greatly to the attractive appearance of the toy.
I also provide a driving and guiding stick 17 which is preferably shaped as here shown and is provided at its outer end with a cross bar 18 which has hooks 19 formed at its ends. Either of the hooks may be slidingly engaged with the telly of the wheel to direct and guide the wheel or may be engaged with the yoke to pick up the wheel.

Having thus described the invention7 what I claim as new is:
A coasting wheel of the class described havingr radially arranged spoke rods and also having vanes mounted for rotation on the spoke rods.
