Another object of the invention is to provide a pouch by means of which the contents discharged may ,be easily controlled.
With the above and other objects in view, the nature of which will more fully appear roceeds, the invention tion and arrangement of arts as herein fully described, illustrated and claimed.

may be used in addition to the ogening in the flexible container through whic the contents are generally introduced and removed.
Referring to the drawings, 8 is a pouch of rubberized material as commonly used for tobacco and which has a self-closing flap 9 through which tobacco is generally introduced and removed. In addltlon to this selfclosing opening of the pouch, I provide an auxiliary opemng 10, preferably formed in the side of the pouch nearerto'the bottom. This 0 ening 10 is in the form of a slit one edge 0 which is provided with an extension 11 preferably the lower edge, which forms a'lip that can be tucked in through the slit and which will normally overlap the Opening 10 and form a closin fia for the opening. In addition this 11p w on forced out of the slit or opening 10 will present a scoo -like member 12, (see Figs. 1 and 4) whic will facilitate thedischarge of the contents and control the discharge.
This li or extension 11 is particularly suitable or use with fabrics which are not sufiiciently stifi to normall" maintain the slit closed. With fabricsufliclently stifi, the lip 11 may be dispensed with. Such aconstruction is shown in Figs. 5 to 7 inclusive.
To stiffen the material at the slit 10' I reinforce the material at the slit, as shown at 13, and in addition I providebead 1d at the slit. To open the sl1t it is necessary to press the bod of the pouch 8 or 8 in the direction in w 'ch the slit, runs thereby. causing a widening of the-slit through whic the material'woul then ass easily.
7 If soft fabrics are use for the'pouch, the same can be reinforced at the slit or auxiliary openin so that pressure will be required to sit er open the slit or to cause the extension, if one is provided, to protrude through the o ening outwardly when pressure is applie along the slit.
This pouch is particularly suitable for hand-madecigarettes, for it allowsa erson to pour the contents into a paper, fol ed as shown in Fi 1. By releasing the pressure along thesht the suply of tobacco 1s cut ed and one of the I- ers which has been hand. The plouch can then be placed in the 2. A pouch having a side opening the 10 pocket and t e cigarette rolled. lower edgeof which opening has an exten- I claim: sion adapted to form an inner closing flap 1. A pouch having a side opening one edge for the opening, said extension being adapt- 5 of which has an extension normally forming ed to be forced through the opening to form a closing flap for the opening and which exa deliver scoo when pressure is applied 15 tension is adapted to form a delivery scoop to the b y of t e pouch along the opening. when pressure isapplied to the body of the pouch along the opening. v t JOHN AUER.
