IMPROVEMENT IN COMBINED BOTTLE-HOLDERS AND ICE-BOXES.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 129,094, dated July 16, 1872.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, SAMUEL R. Bnrees, of Owego, in the county of Tioga and in the State ofNew York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bottle-Holder and Ice-Box 5 and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specifi-I cation.

The nature of my invention-consists in the construction and arrangement of a combined ice-box and bottle-holder, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which- Figure l is a plan view, and Fig. 2 a vertical section, of my combined iee-box and bottle-holder. Fig. 3 is a perspective View of the interior arrangement of the same.

A represents a square, rectangular, or other suitably-shaped box or shell, made of metal, having no bottom, but provided With a hinged lid or cover, B. Around one, two, three, or all four sides of this box or shell A, at the upper edge, is a projecting horizontal dan ge, G, in which are a number of holes a ay for the insertion of bottles. Between the holes a a, on the under side of the flange or rim C, are down- Wardextending V-shaped partitions D D, which separate the bottles. This structure is placed within a box, Gr, the outer edges of the flange or rim C fitting snugly against the sides of said box. Ice is placed Within the box or shell A, which rests on the bottom of the box Gr, and the sides of said shell being perforated as shown, allows the cool air to pass through and cool the bottles placed around the same. The waste water passes off through the pipe b in the bottom of the box G.

By this device a bar-keeper may keep his liquors, 8vo., cool Without placing or laying them on the ice.
