IMPROVEMENT IN S AWlNG-MACHINES."
Speciiication forming part of Letters Patent No. 129,064, dated July 16, 1872.
Specification describing` a new and Improved Sawing Machine, invented by J o- SEPH SMITH, of Woodburn, in the county of Marion and State of Oregon.
My invention consists ot' a saw-table for a cut-oli'77 saw suspended on pivots overhead, and a latch for holding the table in advance of the saw for receiving the log or plank to be sawed, and arranged in such manner that when the latch is tripped the gravity of the table and its load will feed the Work to the saw, or mainly so.

A and B represent the saw-table, or the main portion thereof, and C is the outside rest for the piece being cut oli". Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combination, with said overhead suspended table, of the latch G, lever H, and spring I, substantially as specified.
