To all rwhom it may concern Be 1t known that 1, Reim-rom) HERMAN, a citizen of the United States, residingat Pittsburgh, in the county of Allegheny and- State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful improvements in Adjustablel Display Devices, of which the fol- .lowing 1s a specification.
This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements 1n adjustable display devices.
The primary object of the invention is the provision of a holder for a plurality of display packages such as the well known cake and cracker boxes whereby the latter are readily positioned for extracting the contents thereof when it is desired to make a sale.
A further object of the invention is the provision of a display holder for boxes that possesses greatstrength and durability but is easy and inexpensive to manufacture while the same possesses expansive qualities and may be arranged in a plurality of separable sections orunits readily combined for accommodating' the number of boxes desired.
A still further object of the invention is the provision of a holder or stand arranged with a bodily movable support for articlecontaining boxes, the said supports being slidably shiftably arranged for suitably positioning the boxes for opening the same and at which times the support is in a retained inclined forward position.
With these general objects in view and others that will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood. the same consists in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and pointed out in the appended claims. i

A rectangular frame 34 is arrangedat the top of the device secured to the upper free ends of the corner posts Q1.
The spanning members Q0 of the side sections 19 of the base are adapted for mount? points above the base 13 adapted for supporting superposed trays in a similar manner, `Each of the trays 11 is formed of the spaced side rails 25 having similar front and rear ends QG formed of channel bars fitting over inwardly projecting ears 27 arranged at the oppositev ends of the side rails 25 'and securedto'said ears by means of bolts28. A partition rail 29 is centrally provided for each tray 11 having a depending attaching plate`30 adjacent its opposite ends for en` gaging the inner sides of the ends26 of the trays and secured in position by means' of bolts 3l. The-partition rails 29haveV spaced longitudinal flanges 32 upon their upper sides as well as upturned end flanges 38, the latter lying flush with the outerfaces of the ends'26 while the cracker boxes 10 are seated Within the tray upon thel opposite kbase "flanges'34 of the partition rail 29 and upon the inner upper flange/S35 of thev side rails 25. A rectangular plate 36 isv arranged at each 'zend of each side rail 25 forming the'corners 'jf the trays when 'taken with theupstanding web' 37'eentrally arranged longitudinally of each ofthe side rails.

A display stand comprising a hase having spanning side supports of I-beam forination, wheels carried in journaled relation adjacent the forward ends of said supports, a box-holding trav formed with side walls having depending ribs mounted for travel upon the said Wheels, rollers upon the said side rails mounted for travel upon the lower inner base flanges of the said side supports, stops upon the inner side of said supports spaced from the forward ends thereof between the top` and bottom flanges of the supports arranged within the path of movement of the said rollers adapted for limiting the forward movement of the tray, the ribs of said side rails having notches therein adapted for the reception of the said wheels when the rollers are in engagement with the said tops with the tray in its open forwardly inclined engagement, a partition rail for the tray having end plates lying flush with the front and rear sides of the tray and having opposite bottom tlainges with spaced longitudinal upstanding ribs adjacent the inner ends of the flanges, the said side rails hav- .ing inwardly projecting flanges in the same plane as the flanges of the partition rail adapted for the mounting reception of boxes thereon between the said partition rail and side rails.

A tray comprising side rails having inwardly projecting longitudinal supporting flanges and `attaching ears at the ends of said flanges, channel bars secured over the said ears connecting the rails together in rectangular formation, a partition rail spanning said channel bars having depending end plates secured thereto with the bottom of the partition rail in the same plane as the said flanges of the side rails adapted for the supporting reception of boxes there- .on, upstanding end members upon the said partition rail and spaced ribs longitudinally arranged upon the bottoni of the partition rail between the said ends thereof.
7. A display stand including a frame having giooved rollers journaled thereon, a tray slidably mounted on said frame, said tray having depending side flanges `movable and guided in the grooves of said rollers to preventsidewise movement of the tray, said flanges being notched to receivefsaid rollers and thereby retain the tray inadownwardly inclined position when opened.

A display stand including a frame having rollers journaled thereon, and a tray slidably mounted on said frame. said tray including side members movable on said rollers, said side members being notched to receive said rollers and thereby retain the tray in a downwardly inclined position when open. e,
