EMPROVEMENT IN THlLL-COUPLINGS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 128,968, dated July 16, 1872.
- several devices, as hereinafter described.
In the accompanying drawing,A is the part attached to the axle. B is the part attached to the shaft. 0 is a slide, working on B,which holds A and B together; and D is a nut or button, fastened to the lower side of B by a pivot, d, and which holds the slide 0 firmly in place.
When it is desired to detach the shaft, the button D is turned to one side on its pivot d, which allows the slide 0 to move back upon B far enough to release the journal of A.
By these means a shaft may be attached or detached in a few seconds.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The combination of the parts A, B, G, and D, substantially as and for the purpose described.
