IMPROVEMENT IN HEATING-STOVES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent Noce 127,830, dated June ,11-y 1572.

To all whom 'it muy concern:
Be it known that l, JAMES F. BALDWIN, ot Lockport, in the county ot' Niagara and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Stoves; and I do hereby declare that the following is a fuil, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon which forms a part of this specifica tion.
The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a heatingstove, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.
In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, Iwill now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which- Figure l represents a longitudinal section, and Fig. 2 a transverse section of my stove.
VA represents the body of the stove made oval or oblong, as shown. B is the top plate, and C is the bottom plate of the stove. Between the top and bottom plates B and C, which are provided with suitable openings, is the oblong tube or pipe D.
When a stove so constructed is heated, cold i a ir near-,its bottom is pressed upon and through the tube in a strong current. After being thus heated the air is discharged at the top ofthe tube and stove with a velocity corresponding with the difference in rarity of air at opposite ends ofthe tube.
