Said bracket is shown in Fig. 1 as havin an extension 33, which reaches over the swivel 34 of the goose neck 36; and the inner end 4l of the goose neck 36 is shown as connected to said rider 29 by means of the link 37 and pin 38; 38 is a sleeve-or filler-ring shown in Fig. 2 as placed on said pin 38 between said rider 29 and the link 37. The sound box 39 may be connected directly to the traveling bridge 25 instead of to the swivelingfarm 15.
Many other changes could be made in the design and details of my means for recording and reproducing sounds Without departing from the main scope of my invention.
I do not therefore restrict myself to the form of the details as shown; but I intend to include also all mechanical equivalents and reasonably obvious modifications of the same.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1s:
, 1. A means for-recording and reproduc-4 lng sounds adapted to be detachably mountfed on the cabinet mclosing the spring motor and vertical shaft of a standard sound reproducing machine, said means comprising a sound box andstylus', a turntable adapted to be attached to said shaft and to have its upper surface extend above the end of said extending inwardly, 'a recording card hav-I ing two parallel edges adapted `to fit between sa-id Z-bar guldes and under said upper flanges, thereby beingladapte'd to be readily inserted 1n position on said turntable and to recelve a posltive motion from said Z-bar guides and a means for transabove the end of said shaft, thereby beingadapted to receive said card on said "surface, a means for transmitting positive motion from said turntable to said card, a metal plate secured to said card at the center thereof, a revolving` membervhaving fat one end thereof a coupling adapted to bemletachably connected to said plate, and a means for operatively connect-ing' `the other end of said member to said sound box.
3. In a means for recording and reproducing sounds adapted to be detachably mounted on the cabinet inclosing the 'spring motor and vertical shaft of a standard sound reproducing machine, a sound 1Jox and stylus, a recording card, a turntable adapted to be attached to the shaft of said "cabinet and to have its upper surface extend above the end of said shaft, thereby being adapted to receive said card on said surface, a means for transmitting positive motion from said turntable to said card, a .metal plate secured to said card at the center thereof, said plate having multiple openings, a revolving member., a means for operatively connecting one end of said member to said sound box, a coupling at the other end of said member. and multiple pins in said coupling adapt-ed to fit said openings, thereby dctachably connestingl said member to l,said plate.
