Be it known that I, GEORGE PICKUP, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Licking and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and use l ful Improvements in Gas HotJPlates, of which the follow'ingis a specification.
One of the objects ofthis inventionis .to -1 produce an improved gas hot plate which isada'ptedto be folded or collapsed so asto occupy a minimum amount of space for shipment or storage. To'this' end the in vention aims to provide anim'proved hinge connection between the top frameand the end-frames of the plate, and to provide im proved means for bracing the'end frames apart and for supporting the burners.
The invention also refers to an improved member which serves as a manifold or" gassupply pipe, an attaching bracket. therefor, and a flame guard.

The preferred embodiment of the invenhave provided two end frames 12 which are no wider than the top frame 10 and extend directly down therefrom, so that they require no greater supporting space thanthat defined by the top frame. The two end. frames take the place of the four separate legs heretofore employed and require less space for support than do the said legs.
Each of the end frames is'hinged at its upper edge to the top frame to swing inwardly toward the other. The hinge connection comprises :a suitable number of attaching bracket for the pipe 26.
