Other objects and advantages will be apparent from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing.

The game, as illustrated in the accompanying drawing, includes one-hundred and twentycards. One set is termed the tell ers, and in the drawing is shown in Fig. 1. The faces of these cards are printed with poems, sayings, proverbs, or the like, and also with the names of the authors, together with initial letters representing the first letters of the names of the countries from which the authors come. In the present case the teller cards include two kinds, those marked with'A for the American authors and E for the English authors, there being thirty of each. The reverse side of each of the teller cards is blank.

There are two sets of the finder cards, each containing thirty cards, the whole to be equally divided between two players. On the face of each finder card there is the same matter that is found on the difierent teller cards which correspond thereto. On the reverse sldes of these cards are found the picturesj'and the initial letters representing" "thenationalities of'the authors. In the first instance, the nationality is represented by I the initial letter A for the American author, while in the second instance the. initial letter E shows that the authors are of English birth.

In playing the game,theteller cards are separated from the pack and taken by the dealer. The remainder of the cards are separated from the pack, the As and Bs together, and like the teller cards, held by the dealer. Then each player must select either the A cards or the B cards as his own, before the game. a

The two players sit opposite each other,

at the table, while the dealer sits between at 7 one of the other sides of. the table. The cards of the players are then laid on the table with their legend sides uppermost and the pictures of the authors down. The

' dealer then readsthe matter on the teller cards, one at a time, and the players are to glance over all of the cards before him and those before his opponent. It will, of course, be understood that the cards of the players are laid on the table in such manner that they may be readily read by both players. The player who first finds the card on the table which contains the matter read by the dealer, places his finger on that card and calls right to indicate that he has found the card and that the dealer should read finder cards to his opponent, his opponents finder cards which he found will count according to the numbers on the teller cards. Thus there is produced a game which is amusing and instructive, and which will train the persons to be quick of hearing, sight, and action. a
