To all whom it may concern:
'Be it known that JOHN F. CLAss, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State 5. of Ohio, has invented certain new and useful Improvements in Medicinal-Vapor Generators, of which the following is a specification,
My invention relates to new and useful improvements in medicinal, vapor or fume generating apparatus. The object and purpose of the invention is broadly to provide a medicinal vapor or fume generator which has a facility for-applying the medicinal vapors or fumes to selected portions of, the human body which it may be desired to treat: To this end the invention consists of a medicinal vapor or fume generator, a distributing drum into which the product I /1s discharged from said generator, and a cabinet into which the vapor is discharged from the distributer through an arrangement of a multiplicity of conduits or pipes and is applied to selected parts of the body 'a's will hereinafter more fully appear. from the particular description and the accompanying drawings to which the description relates.
Referring to the accompanying drawings in general terms Figure 1 is an elevation of the apparatus in its entirety. Fig. 2 is a' side elevation of the cabinet and the con duits leading thereto, a portion of the cabinet being broken away to illustrate the va rious appliances within it. . signed to generate and apply medicinal vapors or fumes to various parts of the human body such as the limbs, the tors0,'the head, The main vapor or fume generator is shown in detail in Fig. 2 of the drawings and consists of an up-right rectangular casing preferably constructed of suitable sheet metal with a hinged door 2 in the front and a damper 3 in the rear. Within the base of this casing is arranged a hydro-carbon burner 4, which is fed through a pipe 5 and is supplied with air through a suitable number'of openings 6. Above the burner l l a water pan 7 is located, and above this water pan 7 is located a shallow water pan 8. These water pans, 7 and 8 furnish the vapor to be passed over a series of mineralcontaining receptacles, which results in the medicinal fumes to be applied.
