IMPROVEMENT. IN PAINTERS BRUSH-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 126,219, dated April 30, 1872.
SPECIFICATION.
I, JOSEPH LEMoINE, of Winchendon, in the county of Worcester and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented certain Improvements in the Manner of Holding Brushes, of
which the following is a specification:
Nature and Oly'ects of this Invention.
' My invention relates to the mode or manner of holding the brush or brushes from resting on the bottom of the tub or box by means of a spring which works in a hinge, and which is fastened to the tub or box allowing the springs to be turned back when they are not in use. The object of this is to prevent the brush from beingbentbyrestingupon thebottom of the tub or box, and to the inner tub or box, which is designed for holding worn-out brushes. Both of these tubs or boxes are supposed to contain water for the preserving of the brushes.
Description of the Accompanying Drawing.
Figure 1 is a top elevation of an apparatus embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is a vertical section, showing the operation of the apparatus when in use. Fig. 3 shows the inner pot, tub, orbox fastened to the outer one by means of screws at the bottom of it.
