When the tube vis bent, the follower 49 moves with the tube as it is drawn through the frame, the follower being held against .the tube by a clamping arrangement 52.. Means are provided for pressing out any deformities, such as kinks or other irregularities which appear in the under-side of the tubing at the conclusion of the bending movement. In the-form shown, this membervis formed by carrying the portion 222 of' the groove 22' from a lineally and in a direction tangential to the groove `.22. In other words, in the specific. vstructure of the embodiment illustrated, the
groove 22 in the wheel is of substantially the same arc as that desired to be given to the tube and the groove is extended rectilineally so asy to be tangential to the oove 22. ' It will readily be appreciated that as the tube is bent,l there will be atendency for the inner .portion of the tubing to crimp or 50" .crease especially that portion which is not drawn into contact with the walls of the ve in the wheel. The part 200, however,
as shown in Fig. 6) engages this portion of the tube at the conclusion of the operation and edectively presses out any irregularities' in the walls of the tube between the bodylportion 31 of the mandrel and the part spring 90`isconnected at one end 91 to abracket 92 supported in the frame and at the other end 93 to a'hook 94 on the follower. This spring is expanded when the wheel is operated and acts to return the follower when it is released.

Those portion's of the tube which passoverthe periphery of the wheel will be properly ironed out, so to speak, and at the conclusion of the 'operatiomthe part 200 will engage the outside of the surface of that portion of the tube adjacent the underside of the mandrel and press out any irregularities which have been caused .in thisv portion of thereof.
It will be understood that I have employed l these forms and these details for the purpose of illustrating my invention, and that I do not wish tobe limited thereto, as many variations may be made in the forms and details and many departures made from those illustrated in the drawing, without departing from the spirit of the invention.
