UNITED STATES PATENT QrFIoE.
HARRY BLAKE, OF PANAMA, NEW YORK.
IMPROVEMENT IN REVOLVING MILK-RACKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 125,928, dated April 23, 1872; ancedated April 13, 1872.
' present practice.
Figure I is a side view of a milk-rack embodying my invention. Fig. II is a plan view of the same. Fig. III is a longitudinal cutseotion through line 00 at, Fig. 11.
A is a frame, hzivin g two perpendicular posts, a and b, to which is attached in suitable bearings the horizontal shaft B. To this shaft is keyed or fastened the armsc 0, which carry on their ends, by aid of pins or'bolts, the racks 0 G. On these racks are placed the milk-pans D D, and are held firmly in position by aid of the supports d cl attached to the said racks. In the bottom of said -milk-pans are inserted the tubes 0 efor the purpose of removing the milk, when desired, by simply opening a stopper inserted in the said tubes. It will be readily understood that the milk-pans are revolved by turning the arms 0 0, together with thehorizontal shaft B, and can thus be brought before a person filling, skimming, or removing milk in or from the same. To the end of the fra-meA is attached a brace or break, E, which, with a suitable ball, pin, or screw at its end, serves to hold the arms, and consequently the milk-pans, stationary in any required position, as required.
Having thus described my invention, I desire to claim The frame A, in combination with the shaft B, the arms 0 c, racks O G, milkpans D D, supports at d, tubes 0 c, and the brake or brace E, substantially as and for the purpose hereinbefore set forth.
HARRY BLAKE.
