To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CLARK J. VVINsLow, a citizenof the United States, residing at Appleton, in the county of Swift and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combination- Lock Switches; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to combination locks, and the primary object of the invention is to provide a combination lock em bodying a plurality of dials for control ling the passage of electrical current from a battery or magneto to the spark plugs of an ordinary internal combustion engine, for preventing the malicious operation of an automobile or like vehicle. I
Another object of this invention is to provide a plurality of stationary dials which are formed of a plurality of segments insulated from each other, and to connect certain of saidsegments to a spark plug of an internal combustion engine, for controlling the passage of a current of electricity there through, and also to provide a pair of movable dials and contact arms, which arms are electrically connected to a suitable electrical supply source and are provided for engagement with the dial segments connected to the spark plugs upon the positioning of the rotary dial in the pro-per combination.
With the foregoing and other objects in view this invention consists in such novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and claimed.
In describing the invention in detail reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters designate like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which:-

Fig. 3 is a vertical section through one of the sets of dials used in the lock.

The dials 2 and 3 carry 9 is connected by means of an electrical conductor 11 to one pole of a'battery, magneto or the like 12, and the opposite pole of the battery or magneto 12 is connected by means of an electrical conductor 13 to an arm 14, which is constructed of conductive mate -ial and is pivotally carried bythe apex of a U-shaped bracket 14. The U-shaped bracket 14 is connected to the lower end of a sleeve 16 which is secured to a hollow shaft 17 that extends above the central axis of the dial 3.
To each of the dials 22 and extending therefrom are secured the hollow shafts 17, upon the lower ends of which are mounted sleeves 16. The sleeves 16 are constructed of insulating material and have contact arms 15 pivotally connected thereto and extending beneath the open end of the hollow shafts. The U-shaped bracket 14 is con structed of conducting material, and permits of the passing of an electrical current from the wire 13, through the arm 14 and into the .pivoted arm 15. The pivoted arm 15 has a spiral spring 15 secured thereto, which is connected to one arm of the U-shaped bracket 14. A rod 18 extends upwardly through the hollow shaft 17 and has a head 19 formed upon its upper end, which projects out of the head 20, which is formed upon the rotary dial 23. The rod 18 engages an insulating plate 21 which is formed in the end of the lever 15 which projects be neath the end of the shaft 17 and is provided for rocking the arm or lever 15 upon its pivotal connection with the sleeve 16. The shaft 17 is carried by the stationary dial 22, and the dial is curved, as is clearly shown in Fig. 3 of the drawings, forming a housing for the dial 3 and the pivoted contact arms 15.
