Again referrin to the drawings, 3 rep resents the. hase ot the furnace which is rond-e hollow so as to serve as a receptacle for the gnsolene or similar fluid which is to he ein ployed as the fuel for the furnace. ln the top of this receptacle is formed e 'illingf; opening e which is closed by means of e plug 5 in the usual manner. What I c aim isz- 1. iin a furnace of the kind described, the combination of a base, a head supported above said base, said head having an opening and a depending Bange around said opening, a standard removably supported on the base, and a shield supported on the standard and iaving its upper `end engaging the said ALenge.

In .a plumbers fui-mice, the combina.- tion of a base member forming an oil receptaaie, supporting rods extending up from the base memberg a head member mounted the shield 42, which on the upper ends of the supporting rods, Said head member having a circular openin and having a Hnnge extending down throug the under side thereof around said opening, a boss arranged Centrally on the top of the receptacle, a standard removably mounted in said boss and a shield arranged to rest on thev top of said standard and having its upper end engaging the fiange on the head member.
