BALTIMORE, MARYLAND.
IMPROVEMENT IN TOY WAGONS.
To all whom-t may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY W. EASTMAN, of the city and county of Baltimore, State of Maryland, have invented a new and Improved Folding Wagon 5 and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construct-ion and operation of the same, reference being had to the anneXed drawing making part of this specification, in which my invention is represented by a I )erspective View.
The object of my invention is to make a toy wagon, so constructed that it will fold into a small package for economy of room.
In the drawing, A represen ts the bottom of the. wagon-box; B' B, the two folding sides; C C, the wheels, attached to the sides by screws,- so as to fold down, as represented in Fig. 1. D D represent the head-board and.
tai1-board, which slide in grooves, represented by E, iu the ends ofthe sides B. rIhe sides B are hinged by metal hinges to the bottom A, as represented by F, thus when open making a substantial box or wagon-body. I propose, if found necessary for strength, to use metal 5, the trunnions G being secured to the sides B, and the Wheels C revolving 011 the screwbolt H, shown in Fig. 4.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, andf desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The folding wagon above described, consisting substantially of the bottom piece A, hinged sides B, wheels C, end pieces D, hinges F, and trnnnions G, the whole operating together in the manner and-for the purposes specified.
