Fons'r, acitizen of the United States, residing at New Castle, Lawrence county, Pennsylvania, have invented a mew and useful Improvemei'l't in- Jaclts of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in.which-- Figure 1 is a plan view, with a portion broken away, of a jack car embodying my invention."

My invention has relation to jack cars, and is designed to provide a jack car of simple, convenient, strong, and serviceable character, capable of handling heavy loads, and which is adapted for a variety of purposes.
The nature of my invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying' drawings, in which I have shown the preferred embodiment thereof, and which will now be described, it being premised, however, that various changes can be made arran gem out and combination. of the several parts with out departing from the spirit and scope of my invention as defined in the appended claims.

The platform i is provided with a central hollow cylindrical post 5 rising therefrom and on which is revolnhly mounted a sleeve member 6. This' sleeve member is'pro idod a bottom flange 7 having bevel gear teeth -8 which are adapted to mesh with the corresponding teeth of a pinion 9 can ricd by a shaft 16 adapted to be driven through suitablegear 11 by apinion on the armature shaft of an electric motor 13. This motor is shown as mounted upon one end portion of the platform 4.
