Specification forming-part of Letters Patent No.1.'24,766, dated March 19, 1872.

J K are respectively the independent flues of the two ire-chambers terminating in the common ue L. M is the steam or gas outlet from the retort, and N is a perforated chamber to contain the article to be heated.
The advantage of combining the two fires With retort-chamber is economy of time in heating and a comparative saving in the `fuel. Having thus described all that is necessary to a full understanding of my invention, what I desire to protect by Letters Patent is The close chamber C having pipe M, the nre-chamber A having outlet J, and the rechamber Gr having outlet K, all combined, constructed, and arranged as and for the purpose specified.
